I’m running various MySQL databases on one server. The disk for the operating system is a nothing-fancy 500 GB SATA SSD.

When you install Ubuntu 24.04 and tell is to use the full disk it only creates a 100 GB root volume.

On an Ubuntu 22.04 server I have Samba shares for my Windows clients.
